Waffle House Money
I burned a dollar bill on a subway train today
and watched people chase the ashes as
they blew away. They hung on seats, leaving
specks and streaks of black, useless currency.

In my town, there are wooden stars painted gold
hanging on a gas station fence for all the kids who
aren’t coming home. And the font betrays just how

The Feel Bad Movie of Your Life
Nights like tonight make me wonder what I’m doing. I miss too many things and too many people to feel functional. I’m sick of not fixing the things I need to fix…instead leaving them in pieces to go do something else. I feel like a parasite …just taking and never seeing fit to give any of myself. hi-
so as some of you know, my background isn’t really writing…it’s film. Movies have always been, and will always be, my first love. Much of the writing I do on this site, and for other sites, has started because of an unhealthy amount of movies consumed.
